Ok - so I know to some these little insects can be a bit of a pest but I couldn't resist including them.
I know they aren't great for your local veggie patch but they seeing them gracefully out and about soaring on the summery breeze evokes memories of summers past and reminds me that the warm whether will stick around a bit and that garden is flourishing with nature's bounty.
And you really can't go wrong with a black and white accessory for any outfit !
 
Why Brooches ?
So it's a thing again right !  Brooches have come a long way since the Cameo your grandma used to wear.  And a lot of people aren't getting their ears pierced these days...so...
Enter the modern era of the must-have accessory.
Yep - the BROOCH IS BACK baby and it's funkier than ever !
 
After quite a few enquiries in the shop as to whether we carry brooches, well let's just say "challenge accepted !"
I put on my design hat, and over the next few months created my own take on the once humble brooch, a range of beautiful, colourful and (if I don't say so myself) pretty stylish yet fun brooches featuring Australian Flora and Fauna (and a few other plants and animals that I couldn't resist).
And you know what...I have actually started wearing them myself and I must say I am starting to feel a bit naked without one.  
 
The designs are cut on our own own laser cutter out of Australian made 'no-nasties' ply and locally sourced glitter acrylic.  They are then handpainted, hand dome cast using Australian made plant based bio-resin.  Then back inside for another paint on the back, brooch back pin attached and voila - a finished brooch.
